Shwmae annwyl ffrindiau,

Simon at www.omniglot.com , a fab language site, has been kind enough to allow me to create some resources from his Welsh pages. Do have a look around because there’s loads of information about Welsh and the other Celtic languages.

I’ve created a PDF of his terms of endearment or geiriau tyner to help you enrich your language which you can download here. Terms of Endearment - Geiriau Tyner

Perhaps you’ve another favourite Welsh nickname given to you by a friend or family member? Share it in the forum!

  • S’mae Elin
I would like to attend this Saturday. Is it still on line with Skype? (Not real life yet with windows open?)

Yes I’d love to have more grammar input, as it helps me to underpin what we’re learning with understanding. As I read and listen more, the mutations are beginning to slide over the sentence with gentleness instead of jerkiness as it would sound if without mutations.

It’s great having a new phone. Now I know what you are talking about, apps, download, etc.etc.
You are a wonderful tutor with brilliant practical tips to make learning this language fun and obtainable. Thanks a million for persevering with us slower learners.

See you Saturday. Hwl, Chris M

    • You’re very sweet, Chris, and I am looking forward to our session on Saturday. I’ll be calling the Skype group so you just need to be ready to take the call. Re. Omniglot, it’s all free so get stuck in! X

  • PS Elin. Simon, your friend, of Omniglot.com the materials look great. As I’m new to ‘installing’ and ‘uploading’ I don’t understand the word ‘FREE’. Sometimes it means a free 7 days trial. sometimes it doesn’t tell you at all whether it’s free or payable monthly, yearly etc until you’ve gone further into the app. I’ve been caught out once already! So what about Simon’s material for Welsh learners?

    Diolch,
    Chris M
